spongebob-autisticquestions:

To other autistic people, how did you first find out about autism?

A slime cutting video came up on my dash by chance. I was confused as to why it was so fascinating (i watched it three times), so i checked the comments. Someone mentioned autism and visual stimming, so i did a bit of googling out of curiosity. It was like a light flicked on in my head. EVERYTHING made sense all of the sudden. Since then, ive gotten more and more confirmation. But yeah. A slime video got me interested.

spongebob-autisticquestions:

Any other autistic people ever been told “I think you’re using your autism as a crutch”?

Not many people in my life know and those that do know i generally dont like making excuses so no

cactus-spirit:

To other autistics, how do you feel about people calling you pet names?

Darlin’, sweetheart, love, babe, etc.

Only my bf is allowed to call me pet names

spongebob-autisticquestions:

To other autistic people, do you get anxious over “small things” easily?

Yes, especially if im already stressed. Im known in my family for my meltdowns over small, tangible goals, although theyre usually caused by a build-up of stress.

spongebob-autisticquestions:

To other autistic people, do you find it hard to calculate how much time you need to do something?

Ive gotten better since i started baking, but i still struggle.

Me mentally: YAY BURST OF PRODUCTIVITY EXECUTIVE DYSFUNCTION GONE FOR NOW

Me physically: YAY PAIN AND TROUBLE WALKING OR EVEN STANDING

Side note: is this normal? To regret having the energy to do normal stuff with lots of pain?

Most people when baking: *use an already established recipe thats tried and true*

Me: *throws random shit together because fuck me if im gonna do it the normal way and also some alternative flours and sweeteners dont work the same as wheat flour and sugar anyway*
